Being a spray technician and working for many outfits over the years I have seen a lot. Most owners have never picked up a spray gun. Many use the cheapest products, overbid and promise prospective clients anything to secure the job. This puts technicians and customers in a precarious situation.

Most companies have a very high turn over rate. What we do is a very specialized trade and requires extensive training and experience to master the craft. It is common for these outfits to hire someone (as a subcontractor) off the street, with no experience. It's unfortunate as the tech is normally demoralized when they can't perform up to expectation, having never received proper professional training.
